cost = consumption ÷ 100 × km × price per liter + tolls
Fuel comes first: divide your car's consumption in L/100 km by 100, multiply by the distance in kilometers, and you get the liters needed. Liters times the fuel price give the fuel cost, and tolls are added on top. Traveling with others? The total is divided by the number of passengers.
Tolls are entered for one direction — for a round trip the calculator automatically doubles them, together with the kilometers.

A car using 7 L/100 km needs 7 ÷ 100 × 450 = 31.5 liters for 450 km. At a fuel price of e.g. 2.70 KM per liter, fuel costs 85.05 KM. With 20 KM in tolls the total is 105.05 KM.
A round trip doubles everything: 900 km, 63 liters, 170.10 KM of fuel and 40 KM in tolls — 210.10 KM in total. Split among four passengers, that is 52.53 KM each. Fuel prices change constantly — enter the current price from your pump; the example is illustrative.
Round trips and cost splitting
Tick “round trip” when you return along the same route — the calculator doubles the kilometers and tolls, so there is nothing to work out by hand. If the return leg takes a different route, leave it off and add up two separate calculations.
The per-person figure is based on the full total, so it includes both fuel and tolls. That is the fairest way to split the cost when traveling with friends or colleagues.
Frequently asked questions
Does a round trip double the tolls?
Yes — you enter the tolls for one direction, and for a round trip the calculator doubles them, just like the kilometers. If tolls are charged in one direction only, leave round trip off and enter them once.
Does the cost per person include tolls?
Yes. The per-person figure divides the full total — fuel plus tolls — by the number of passengers.
How much does a 450 km trip cost?
With consumption of 7 L/100 km and fuel at e.g. 2.70 KM per liter: 31.5 liters × 2.70 = 85.05 KM, plus any tolls.
Which consumption figure should I enter?
Ideally your real one, measured with the full-tank method — it is usually 10–30% above the factory figure. For highway driving stay close to the factory number; for city and mountain routes add a margin.
